The conditions at Mount bachelor can make it a wild place. There’s plenty of awesome sunny days, but many days are stormy, windy, and hard to see. Having the right gear is extra important in a place like this. Based in the Pacific Northwest, it’s possible for precept to come in warm, so Gore-Tex layers Are key. And while the Cascades are known for their warmer snow conditions, Mount Bachelor has plenty of cold dry powder days as well. I prefer having low light lenses, good outerwear, and a warm helmet for the storm days. If its Clear, swap out for dark lens, bundle up and keep your fingers crossed summit will open!
