Ascent Plates from Billy Goat Tech

These plates are really cool. they allow you to boot pack through loose snow like dry powder or faceted snow, when it gets steep and boot packing becomes impossible. Essentially act as small snowshoes like verts, but these attach to your crampons so that if you do encounter firm snow you have your crampon as grip as well. Really great for variable snow and they are very flat and pretty lightweight so they're easy to carry in your pack.
