Whitefish Mountain Resort

I just got back from a trip to Whitefish Montana where I was coaching some JR athletes for the first freeride contest of the season. I had never skied there before, and it had been a long time since I was in MT. and it was pretty awesome. They have a great vibe both on the mountain, and in town. The ski hill has a great amount of terrain, and variety. Short steep features, bib powder bowls, and ripping groomers. It reminded me of a mix between Grand Targhee, and Crystal Mt. On top of that the event organization was spot on, with a awesome offering for the competitors, and a fun and friendly vibe.
